(Dancer/Dancer Captain)
A native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Robbie Nicholson is a veteran of the Broadway stage having spent almost two years in "The Music Man'. During that time, he appeared on "The Tony Awards," "The Today Show," "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," and the "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade." Robbie won the first and only title of "American Dance Idol". He filmed a commercial for K-mart and appeared on the TV show "Star Search." His choreography has been highly awarded at numerous competitions. Robbie was a featured dancer in the final cast of "Encore!" at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan. Robbie is a founding member of Bad Boys of Dance and was featured in 2007 at the company's debut performances at Jacob's Pillow. In 2008, he originated a principal role in "Rock the Ballet" and since then has performed in over 200 performances with the company around the world.
TIM OLSON (Dancer/Dance Captain)
Tim Olson originally resides from Anoka, MN. Dancing since the age of 3, and teaching since 15, Tim has studied various styles of dance including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary and Hip Hop at Northland School of Dance and other various schools of dance including Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway etc... He also has traveled the country taking from some of the industry's top choreographers and has also taught master classes and done choreography for many different projects. His achievements include winning the National Teen Title at West Coast Dance Explosion, performing at the Tanzsommer Dance Festival in Austria, and placing in the top 3 Senior Male Dancers at NYCDA Finals. Tim has also danced with Odyssey Dance Theater in Salt Lake City, Utah, performing in multiple productions such as “ It’s a Wonderful Life”, “ Giselle”, and “ Romeo and Juliet”.
James was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He quickly became fluent in Classical/Contemporary Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Classical/Contemporary Modern and Tap. He received his B.F.A from SUNY Purchase College in 2010. Mr. Boyd has performed multiple works by choreographers such as Bill T. Jones, Bella Luwitsky, George Balanchine, Ronen Koresh, Robert Battle and Milton Myers. James had the honor of dancing for Sir Elton John and Lady Gaga at a charity event at Carnegie Hall in 2010 and in 2011, he performed at the Dance Open in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Kevin is best recognized as a Top 20 Finalist on Season 1 of the hit TV show "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" on CTV. Kevin was born in Saskatoon and is a native of Saskatchewan. He began his dance training at his mother's dance studio and later moved to Vancouver, BC to pursue his passion for dance. Since, he has trained throughout Europe, Japan, and the United States & worked & studied with companies such as: Pushing Progress, Spellbound Dance Company "Rome" & MOVE "Vancouver". His film/TV credits include: The Lizzie Mcguire Movie, Eureka, Dr. Doolittle 3, Hellcats & Breakfast Television. He has most recently completed a contract in Tokyo, Japan dancing as a tap soloist in a Broadway style review called "Big Band Beat!" Kevin now resides in Las Vegas Nevada dancing as a contemporary soloist and primary pas de deux for the Cirque Du Soleil production, "LOVE".
Lee Gumbs started dancing at age 5 and by 7 he received scholarships for ballet & jazz classes. Shortly after he started signing himself up for more classes without permission! This is when his mom realized this was more than a hobby. He went on to win numerous regional & national dance competitions. Lee started traveling solo at 15 to L.A., New York, Las Vegas & Virginia Beach to take advantage of scholarships he had won. At 16 he was the first boy chosen by Dance Spirit magazine as 1 of the top 3 cover models out of thousands of entries. He was featured in the magazine for 4 months. As a senior, Lee became an alumni of the Young Arts and attended Marymount Manhattan College in NYC.
Henry Rivera was born in New York and raised in Miami, FL. Inspired to dance from attending his sister’s recitals, at the age of 14, Henry received a scholarship to study at Dance Attack of Miami, Fl. Under the tutelage of owners John Culbertson and Cookie Ramos, Mr. Rivera trained in a variety of techniques and styles to become a versatile dancer. While at Dance Attack Henry competed internationally and is a winner of several national titles. Mr. Rivera is member of the renowned agency MSA NY, and professional credits include Royal Caribbean, C&J Productions, and has performed with Natalia Jimenez on Pa’ Lante Con Cristina. Henry Rivera is now a proud faculty member of Dance Attack and is an in demand teacher and choreographer in the Miami Florida metropolitan area.
Patrick Daniel Gerstle is a contemporary ballet dancer hailing from Rockledge, Florida. At age 11 he began his dance training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop and contemporary dance at Precision Contemporary Dance and Viera Dance Conservatory. Furthermore, he also has studied at such prestigious institutions as The Rock School of Dance, ABT Austin, Orlando Ballet School, and Joffrey Ballet School. Patrick has recently completed his second year at University of the Arts on full scholarship. His college and professional performing credits includes various roles in original lyrical and modern works with Forsythe, Netta Yerushalmy, and Sidra Bell.
Joshua Alexander was born and raised in Columbia, SC where he began dancing at his local elementary school. To further his education and passion for dance he auditioned for Columbia City Jazz Dance Company, a local dance studio at the age of seven and was accepted with open arms. Later on in his years he began choreographing for his studio and at the age of 17 was named Assistant Choreographer and became regular part of the teaching staff. Teaching numerous styles of dance to his students. Joshua graduated from Dreher high School in 2011 where he received full scholarship to the University of South Carolina dance program.
Rocky Smith has been dancing since the age of three. He comes from a family who all share the love of dance. Rocky has had extensive training in all styles of dance including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop. After studying with the School of American Ballet in New York, Rocky moved to New Jersey and joined the competitive dance team at Studio L. From the age of 12, he has been instructed primarily by Kelley and Danielle Larkin. They have helped him go on to win numerous regional and national titles across the country. After graduating high school in 2010, Rocky began teaching and choreographing for the company dancers at Studio L. Rocky is excited to be apart of Bad Boys and cannot wait for the endless opportunities in store.
Bryan is a performer from San Juan P.R. who began his dance training at the age of 17. As soon as he started dancing he fell in love with it and he hasn't stopped ever since. He has trained with Ballet Concierto of P.R., Ballet Teatro Nacional of P.R., Performing Arts of P.R., and others. He has dance around the world with companies like Odyssey Dance theater and has been Choreographer of several local artist in P.R. He appeared in the Movie "Havana Nights" Choreographed by Kenny Ortega and other dance movies in P. R. He was first runner up in a Dance Reality Show in Dominican Republic. He lives in NYC now and ever since he started there he has worked in several musical productions like "Guys and Dolls"(Scranton Slim), "Music Man"(Tommy Jillias), and "Chicago" as a dancer, singer, actor. He got offered National and international tours like "Cats" and "West Side Story as the roll of Arab. He is very exited to keep growing as a performer and to keep inspiring other people.
Marquis began dancing at the age of 14, training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, acrobatics, and tap, under Robin Dawn Ryan and her staff at Robin Dawn Academy of Performing Arts in Cape Coral, FL in 2004. He is a graduate of North Fort Mayer High School Center for the Performing Arts where he performed various leading roles including "Lumiere" in Beauty and the Beast and "Jo Jo" in Suessical the Musical. Upon graduation, Marquis moved to the New York City metropolitan area to began his professional career. Mr. Cunningham has gone on to make national TV appearances in "Dance Wars Bruno Vs. Carrie Ann" on the ABC Family Network where he made top 30, and made the Top 18 on Season 4 of "So You Think You Can Dance" on the FOX Network. Marquis was a part of the creation cast of “Viva Elvis” Cirque du Soleil 2009-2011. Marquis Cunningham enjoys traveling, guest performing, teaching, and judging dance competitions all over the world.
Daniel began training at the Columbia City Jazz Company when he was 9 years old under Dale Lam. He has traveled and performed in New York, Orlando, Massachusetts, and also went on a five week tour of China with CCJC in 2006. Notably he has trained with Thaddeus and Tonya Davis and Stacy Calvert at the University of South Carolina and has performed with Travis Wall’s company “Shaping Sound”.
Blake Zelesnikar was born and raised in Binghamton NY. He started dancing at the age of seven, training in tap, jazz, ballet, and modern with a focus in partnering at the Perkins school of the Arts. He has won multiple National titles along with competing and taking a bronze medal internationally. Apart from competing Blake has also studied and danced with the Phoenix project dance company for several years. In 2012 for season 9 of So You Think You Can Dance Blake had successfully made it to the green mile portion of the show. As a recent high school Blake is excited and thrilled to start his growth with Bad Boys of Dance
New Jersey born and bred, Kyle Lucia has been dancing since age 2 and teaching since 15. With years of experience in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, and even Breakdancing, he specializes in Hip Hop and Contemporary bringing his diverse, lifelong dance training and gymnastics background to the fluidity of his performance and choreography. He’s trained at In The Spotlight, Broadway Dancer Center , and Steps on Broadway. Major achievements include 2009 Senior Male Dancer of the Year at Tremaine and scholarships to more then five dance conventions. Kyle has won numerous awards for his choreography at national and regional competitions and continues to teach Hip Hop and Contemporary at In the Spotlight. Recently, he performed in the upcoming artist Garek’s debut music video and has choreographed the singer’s second video. Kyle is thrilled to have the opportunity to travel the world performing with the Bad Boys of Dance!
Yusaku Komori began his dance training at Take Two Dance Academy. He continued his training at Dance "MOVE!!" and The Ailey School where Yusaku was a fellowship recipient. Mr. Komori won first prize in three prestigious Japanese competitions: Jazz Dance Association of Japan, Dance Stage Project, and NEXTREAM and performed in many productions in Japan and before moving to New York City. Yusaku has worked with Vernard J. Gilmore, Earl Mosley, Cecilia Martha Dance Company and performed with Francesca Harper Project at New York City Centre and The Joyce Theatre. Yusaku Komori joined Aileyll in 2010. While in Aileyll, Yusaku received a wonderful review in the New York Times.
Ohio native, Drew made his industry debut on “Live with Regis” during Amazing Kids Week. Upon relocating to California, he trained at L.A.’s best studios including EDGE, Millennium, Fusion, and the PAC Annex. Involved in many facets of the dance world, he is highly sought after as a performer, choreographer, and master teacher. Drew judges for NexStar, American Dance Awards and Dance Masters of America. A former competitor himself, Drew’s titles include Master, Junior, and Teen Mr. Dance of Ohio, as well as, Jr. Mr. and Mr. Dance of America. Drew is certified to teach through DMA & is an active member in Chapter # 16, Ohio. Mr. Burgess students have won several titles including the reigning Miss and Mr. Dance of Ohio. Drew has worked all across the United States, Bahamas, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Greece, & Turkey. His credits include: GMC, Kia, UnitedHealth, Nestle`, Reebok, CitiGroup, and Taylor Swift. Drew worked in Phoenix as the Tap Director at Spisak Dance Academy for four years. Drew is currently the Competitive Dance Company Director at Above the Barre, in the Northeast Ohio area.
Kaitlynn Edgar grew up dancing at Spotlight Dance Works in Chesterfield, Michigan. At a young age, Kaitlynn won many regional and national dance titles and awards. In 2011 became New York City Dance Alliance National Senior Outstanding Dancer. From then on she toured with the convention as an assistant along with many other conventions such as Jump, Adrenaline, and Shock. In 2011 Kaitlynn was the Dance Spirit Cover Model Search Winner and was on the cover of the October issue. She has also made it to the top 30 dancers season 8 and 9 of So You Think You Can Dance. After graduating high school, she moved to LA to begin her professional dance career. She is part of Travis Wall's Shaping Sound dance company and Oxygen's All The Right Moves reality series. She has danced for Nicki Minaj at the American Music Awards and was a dancer in The Secret Life of an American Teenager on ABC Family.
Lauren Blakeney is a native of Houston Texas and started dancing at the age of four. As a young dancer she trained at Progressions Performing Arts where she studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. She continued her training at Kingwood Jazz and Company, where she had the opportunity to work with many choreographers including Peter Chu, Jessica Hendricks, Lauren Adams, Marlana Walsh-Doyle, Joe Celej, and Travis Wall. She also continued to train specifically in ballet and pointe at the International Ballet of Houston. Lauren attended Point Park University Conservatory of the Performing Arts where she had the honor of performing the lead soloist as a freshman in Trey McIntyre's "Blue Until June Suite", at the Byham Theater. Growing up she received many honors and scholarships from competitions and conventions alike, including placing in the top 3 in contemporary at the Youth American Grand Prix Regionals. She currently has been an assistant in ballet and contemporary on NUVO Dance Convention and made it to the Top 25 girls on Season 9 of "So You Think You Can Dance".
