Born and raised in Atlanta, GA where she began journey in dance. She acquired her zeal for dance at the age of 14 at the Ballethnic Academy of Dance and simultaneously at DeKalb School of the Arts. Later, she enhanced her dance technique at the prestigious Dancemakers of Atlanta studying Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contempemporary, Pointe, Hiphop, and Jazz. In 2008, at the age of 17 she took home the National Senior Female Outstanding Dancer title at the competitive New York City Dance Alliance. Upon graduating, she desired to further her dance training through post-secondary education. In 2008 she enrolled at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA as a ballet major and later with Alonzo King's Lines Ballet B.F.A. program. Her hard work manifested when in September of 2011 she had the honor of gracing the cover of Dance Spirit magazine and was selected to join Season 9's TOP 20 of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE in 2012. Amber continues to pursue her craft as an artist and hopes to one day share her love for dance with the world.
